Ufindus Complaints

This complaint relates to the unacceptable amount of nuisance phone calls received by LTD Photography from Ufindus

The worst mistake I made was placing a free add on the ufindus.com directory a few months back. Since then on a regular basis I have had more calls from the Ufindus "so called" sales people than I care to count. Each Time they call I state that im not interested and request removal from their database!!

The sales techniques used by Ufindus are ridiculous, heavy handed, and packed with unbelievable statements. These statements are mainly related to the number of direct inquiries that Ufindus are supposed to receive, but when requested to send examples, they change the subject quite quickly.

The ufindus sales staff have also stated that a website designed by them will be indexed above all other websites on many search engines including google, yahoo and msn. I find that very hard to believe, but maybe there's some obscure ones somewhere online.

The Ufindus Sales Team are obviously Target driven and very unprofessional in their approach to potential clients. Although this can only be blamed on their training.

So just to make it Clear - DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN - as you will be wasting your time and money.

I have reported Ufindus to Worcestershire Trading Standards for the persistant harassment and abusive sales techniques. The initial advice was to get my number listed on TPS.

I would advise anyone having the same problem with unwanted telesale calls to register their number here TPS Online

My advice to the Ufindus.com Sales Team is UNDERSTAND THESE WORDS "SORRY NOT INTERESTED" and just move on to your next call.

Finally anyone wishing to add their complaints about Ufindus.com to this blog, are more than welcome.

If a company called UFindus contacts you about joining their service don't even let them finish the call,
I signed up with them and parted with money for the service they offer, (listing on major search engines and websites)

Your not alone have a look here

Cheers for the Link makes interesting reading.

Well updates on my current issue. This week I had 3 phone calls from the Ufindus Sales Team, and still i keep saying "NO SORRY NOT IN A MILLION YEARS". I also had a call from Graham Armstrong but unfortunatley I was to busy to take the Call, so I phoned him and left a message requesting him to call me back.

As Yet NO Call Back from Graham.

Hi Lee, since I last tried to contact you things at UFindUs have changed even further. You should now be receiving no sales calls from us as your number has been removed from our call data. So I hope that this sorts out the issue you had with us. Unfortunately we cant please all the people all the time, and whilst we hold our hand up and say that some of the things mentioned in the past have been posted on the net with just cause, it isn’t always the case.
There are postings that purport to be from unhappy customers with current problems when in fact these are historic cases that have been settled. Only this week someone posted on a well known blog site implying they owned a site we had designed, and listed a range of things from general comments about UFindUs to very personal attacks on named staff. When I looked into the matter it would appear that the owners of the site knew nothing about it and are actually happy with things how they are. They feel it could be someone who has done some previous website work for them who may to have been previously connected to ourselves. As a result of comments such as this we have had several individual postings removed from influential sites such as “blagger.com”, and not only have we had postings removed but also full threads (this also includes the shell livewire site previously mentioned on here) due to the blatant lies that people, including those working in related fields, are happy to brag about,.
We have a long way to go to rebuild our image with some of our former customers, but, our more recent customers will have had the benefit of a product which is hugely successful at getting rankings and gaining enquiries for businesses all around the UK and beyond.
We are aware of our shortfalls and the major area where people have had issues in the past has been how tired and dated the free rapidsites that we have provided them with look. Just because something doesn’t look super slick and modern doesn’t mean to say it doesn’t work. We have fantastic rankings for our sites on all the major search engines, however in a few months the new rapidsite will be launched and will feature new modern skins, and it will have the benefit of being web based, giving us the ability to get updates for the sites straight to the customer.
Like I say, we won’t please everyone all the time and every business has its critics, but we would like a little balance in all this and to be given the opportunity to show that these improvements are making a real difference to our customers.

Hi Graham, thanks for the feedback, however I have been called 3 times over the last month, from your northern office, and have reported the callers to the TPS on each occasion.

Hi Lee,

If you let me have all the different contact numbers for you I will gladly make sure that they are all listed for no calls. I suspect that may be the root of you still receiving calls. Rather than post those details on here please email me with the business names and numbers you want me to sort out. Please contact me on ad@ufindus.com.

Hi Graham, I only ever receive calls to one phone number from ufindus.

So please remove my company details and the number you have listed against them, from your directory.

I am with you here Lee.
These idiots call me monthly. I have reported them several times to TPS, who have approached UfindUs for an explaination. They are only ever able to state "not able to provide explaination" which is not entirely helpful.

There are so many things about the bully-like sales tactic that I could mention, but generally not suitable for public display! The main one is when you tell them they have already been reported, they just hang up.
Try speaking to a supervisor....that will land you on hold indefinitely.

The patter is just total horse-manure....

Them: Is that Russ?
Me: Yes
Them: Awrite Russ Mate (Mate? I dont even know who you are!)
Me: Fine thank you (now realising from the noisy background and Lancashire accent that is is another UFindUs halfwit).
Them: We have been getting loads of enquiries for Photographers in your area, would you be interested.
Me: No ! (again)
Them: Why not?
Me: Seriously? You want me to answer that question?
Them: Blah blah Google Ranking blah blah blah Cheap Advertising blah blah blah.
Me: You have been reported to TPS for your aggressive cold-calling sales techniques and this number is TPS [Business] registered. Please tell me how you were able to call me?
Them: [hangs up]
Me: Nobbers !!!

Lee, good luck in your campaign. Please feel free to contact me if you want to compare notes....

All the best,
Russ.

Has anyone noticed that the company that sends out the collections notices for ufindus.com
ie blackscollections.com has the almost idintical phone number as ufindus.com
08450135104 ufindus.com
08450135106 blackscollections.com
and is in the same office as ufindus.com

I don't know whether to be happy that I'm not alone, or sad, that so many people have been ripped off.

Iomart designed a webbpage for me 4 years ago and then rang to tell me in their words 'it's crap'.

They then asked if I'd like to pay £2000 to upgrade it.

I refused and sent a cancellation letter asking for my money back - I heard nothing, so put it down to experience and wrote it off.

4 years later I get a call from Ufindus to say they have been billing me for the past 4 years and if I didn't pay they would send in the debt collectors.

I informed them that I cancelled their service and also that I hadn't ordered any other services.

They said you don't have to, by paying your initial invoice, you entered into a business to bussiness contract and we can bill you indefinety.

I told them that was obsurd and also that I hadn't received any notification, invoices or statements regarding the matter over the past 4 years.

I was then told by their account manager Cindy: It's not up to us to inform you that you owe us money, you should have logged into our website, we are paperless office!

Alarm bells started ring that this might be a wind-up, but to my horror she was for real.

How do these multi-million pound Companies get away with it. Why is the Governmental bodies doing nothing to stop them. The man in the street would get a 10 year prison sentence for extortion & blackmail.

It's a licence to print money and it appears our Governmenal bodies welcome it. Trading standards pass you onto consumer protection, they in turn pass you onto the DTI. Perhaps these Governmental bodies think I've got nothing better to with my time, but as a one man business, I need to put my time to good use, mainly paying my mortgage and feeding my kids.

It's a disgrace.
